Riley's Car Seat

Riley was helped by children's charities I Give A Buck Foundation & Samuel Morris FoundationMeet Riley.  Riley is 2 years old and was born with no heartbeat for 15 minutes and no breathing for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Because of this Riley is severely disabled.  He cannot sit, talk or see.  Riley is fed through a PEG tube into his tummy because he can’t swallow.

He spends a lot of time in the Royal Children’s Hospital and, when he’s not there, he’s at home being looked after by his parents.

For all of his health problems Riley can still give big smiles every day and is much loved by his 4yo big sister and mum and dad.

In September 2010 this appeal sought to raise the $2,887 needed  for a special car seat for Riley – but just a few days after launching Riley’s Appeal, the wonderful Michael & Jo-Ann Morris from the Samuel Morris Foundation called to say that they had the exact car seat that Riley needed – and they didn’t have a current use for it.  The generously offered it to us for Riley and Riley’s family was just thrilled.

The $281 that had already been raised for Riley now forms part of Riley’s General Appeal – an ongoing appeal for Riley’s future needs.
