Anonymous BIG Buckers!

29 March 2012 by barb

We recently received a very welcome $500 towards Harry’s Appeal from a couple who would prefer to remain anonymous but who would like to share this thought with you…

We just sold our house and it went for a bit more than we expected, so we decided to pass on some money to an IGAB appeal for a family that needs the money much more than we do. I’d encourage anyone out there to give something if possible. I can guarantee it will make you feel good.

They’d read about Harry’s Appeal in the local paper and had kept the article until their home sold in the hope that they could then do something special for him – and they sure did – nice huh?

Peter Kozera – BIG Bucker!

10 January 2012 by barb

Peter Kozera joins the BIG Buckers Club of Australian children's charity I Give A Buck Foundation

Peter says ” I do have that hope that we can find and build upon a spirit of giving and generosity. There’s little doubt that we do have that spirit, especially when you deal with more well known disasters . But what catches my eye are the many unsung charities who might not be as well known. Once you see the lovely family & kids you’re helping, you take a moment to see how blessed we are, but how many others are in need.”

Anonymous joins BIG Buckers!

Amazing donations were recently received for 2 of our appeals. The generous donor wished to stay anonymous and simply said…

“My reward is to know I’ve possibly helped make a small difference for someone less fortunate than me”

We’d like to assure them that they most certainly made a difference – a big one.

Liat & Taylor Harrower – BIG Buckers!

25 October 2011 by barb

Liat & Taylor Harrower join the BIG Bckers Club with Australian children's charity I Give A Buck!

Liat Harrower, IGAB Relationships Manager and a director of the organisation is a mum of four – Rachael 27, Travis 26, Taylor 12 and little Mitchell – who passed away in 2008 at the age of 7 from Niemann-Pick Type C disease.

Taylor and Liat say: “we love what IGAB does, how it does it, and how it allows us to remember our beautiful boy by helping other families who are going through incredibly difficult times.

For the families of a child with a serious or life threatening illnesses, time is the most precious thing in the world – and that time should be spent holding and loving their child, rather than having to privately fundraise to help pay for a vital service or piece of equipment for their child”.

Rachael volunteers for IGAB and Travis has made generous donations to past appeals too…

Our thanks and gratitude go to each and every one of them
