Peter Blashki – Big Bucker

26 May 2010 by admin

Joining the BIG Buckers Club was something I felt I just had to do (and not only because my wife, Barb, is the founder of I Give A Buck!). A $500 donation – that’s all it took. I could have kept that $500 but it would have made no real difference to my life – or I could’ve donated it to I Give A Buck! who would use every single cent of it to make a real difference to a child’s life and when I thought of it like that, the decision was pretty easy.

Anne Oberin – Big Bucker

Anne was inspired to donate $500 to I Give A Buck! after reading about us in her local paper. She mentioned IGAB to her daughter (who lives solely on a disability pension) who straight away made a wonderful donation to the current appeal. Anne was so impressed by what her daughter had done on a limited income that she decided she would follow suit and make a significant contribution herself.

Here are Anne’s thoughts about why she joined the BIG Buckers’ Club:

I Give A Buck!

- because I have been fortunate enough to afford the incredible personal expense of bringing up children with disabilities.

- because every child should have the right to a comfortable and fulfilling life with the best chance to excel.

- because I can’t imagine the daily pain parents feel if they can’t provide the equipment & services their children need.

- because it allows me to contribute towards helping improve a child’s abilities and that could change his/her whole life.
